FULL VIEW PLEASE!
A lot of research went into the geisha costume. She's actually a maiko, an apprentice. Her kimono, hairstyle, and makeup show which level of apprentice she is at. Her name is Miyu.
Background story, Miyu belongs to a samurai clan, but is in training for geisha. She carries a kaiken with her at all times. (small knife she can hide in an obi).
Keigo (the ninja) was sent to assassinate her since she posed a threat to gaining power over her samurai clan. He finds her in the okiya (geisha house). He can't bring himself to kill her, even though he has been an assassin for 3 years.
One mistake and she is prepared to slit his throat.
